Perle 833 Router Details
The Perle 833 is a reliable, complete dial-in/dial-out access server for both Ethernet and Token-Ring LANs. It
is available in 2, 4, or 8 high-speed serial port models, supporting analog (v.34) modems or ISDN Terminal Adapters.
Each port handles a sustained data transfer rate of up to 115 Kbps. It is a one-box solution for seamless dial-in
access that is both easy to install and use. It also comes complete with dial-out software and client software
with an unlimited licence. Using the Perle 833, remote PCs act like a local node on the LAN and can access all
network resources as if they were locally connected. The Perle 833 Access Server supports all major desktop and
LAN operating systems. It also has multi-level security and management features and supports major security standards,
including PAP, CHAP, RADIUS, NetWare Bindery, Axent DSS, SecurID-ACE/Server and native NT Domain Server Authentication.
Using the Perle 833, it is easy to carry out management functions from anywhere on the network, either locally,
from a PC attached to the LAN, or remotely, via high-speed modems. It even has a front panel display and keypad,
so that some configuration can be performed conveniently at the server, if required. This Access Server also has
the best dial-out capabilities in the industry. The Perle 833 Dial-out Client for WindowsÒ 95, 98, 2000
and NT provides sophisticated features, which enable LAN-based users to send faxes or dial-out to the Internet
and other online services. For simplicity, Perle 833 servers can also be grouped into a single dial-out pool.
