Perle 833AS Router Details
The Perle 833AS Access Server is a multi-protocol remote access solution ideally suited to meet the dial access
needs of both ISPs and Cisco network-based enterprise users. It provides scalable dial-in, dial-out modem pooling
and LAN-to-LAN connectivity. Modem cards are available in 12, 18, 24 and 30 modem densities, providing simultaneous
connections for 12 to 96 (T1/PRI) or 12 to 120 (E1/PRI) remote analog, 56 Kbps- V.90, V.34 and ISDN BRI users.
This increased scalability offers optimum configuration at a lower price per port. The Perle 833AS is an exceptionally
flexible, integrated solution for seamless remote access that is both easy to install and use. Unlike many solutions
based on a PC chassis, the architecture of Perle 833AS hardware is designed for maximum reliability. It is the
only access server that comes with standard hot swappable dual power supplies and dual cooling fans, ensuring maximum
up-time for all users. The Perle 833AS is also equipped with Compact PCIÒ card connector technology, specially
designed for telecommunications and high-performance remote access applications. This technology provides superior
card connection compared to the commonly used PCI and ISA edge connector cards. The Perle 833AS also has multi-level
security and management features and supports major security standards, including PAP, CHAP, RADIUS, NetWare Bindery,
Axent DSS, SecurID-ACE/Server and native NT Domain Server Authentication. With the Perle 833AS, all cards are conveniently
accessed from the outside of the unit and card additions can be pre-configured. This helps to expand remote access
capacity quickly and easily, keeping system downtime to a minimum.
