Perle 833IS Router Details

For Cisco network-based enterprises that require a complete, integrated and scaleable solution for 8 to 16 concurrent dial-in, dial-out or LAN to LAN users needing access to corporate LAN resources across high-speed 56 Kbps-V.90, V.34 analog or ISDN BRI connections. It is a one-box solution for seamless high-speed dial-in, dial-out modem pooling and LAN to LAN access that is both easy to install and use. The addition of a WAN interface card enables quick and cost-effective expansion. These cards are available with or without integrated 56 Kbps-V.90 DSP modems, allowing Network Managers to match the dial-in user mix cost-effectively. By allowing both ISDN and analog calls to be made across the same BRI line with one unique telephone number, the Perle 833IS offers a simplified approach to deploying both ISDN and 56 Kbps-V.90, V.43 modem technology. It also has multi-level security and management features and supports major security standards, including native NT Domain Server Authentication. 10/100 Mbps auto-sensing Ethernet offers the flexibility to scale to 100 Mbps seamlessly, without additional cost or administration. The Perle 833 Dial-out Client for Windows 95, 98, 2000 and NT provides sophisticated features, which enable LAN-based users to send faxes or dial-out to the Internet and other online services. The Perle 833IS offers enterprise level functionality (typically found in high-density remote access products) at an entry-level price and a lower total cost of ownership. By combining scalability and high-speed access with a comprehensive feature set, the Perle 833IS sets a new standard in value for the growing enterprise.

The Perle IOLAN+ range IP serial servers are designed to excel in both terminal server and remote access applications, providing users with the best serial to IP solution for distributed Windows and Unix environments. They can be used wherever serial devices need to be connected to LANs. The units are available in 2, 4, 8 or 16 port versions with DB25 or RJ45 presentation options. Each serial port is capable of continuous bi-directional speeds of 115.2 Kbps.
   
Perle Jetstream 8500

JetStream 8500 is an integrated, multi-purpose solution for serial, offering high port density for larger remote sites. Cutting the cost of ownership and the need for multiple units, JetStream 8500 can act as a Terminal Server, Remote Access Server and for dial-in Modem Pooling. Available with either 16 or 24 RS232 or 16 RS422 serial ports, the JetStream 8500 remotely connects up to 24 asynchronous serial devices, such as thin clients, terminals, printers, EPOS tills, and modems to TCP/IP Ethernet LANs. JetStream products also offer modem pooling and remote access server capabilities with integrated support of PPP and SLIP.
   
Perle Jetstream 4000

The JetStream 4000 is a compact 8 port serial/access server designed for applications demanding the support of multiple serial devices and a common parallel port printer. It offers dramatic savings over standard serial connectivity servers. It also offers a unique built-in parallel port for easy printer connection. The JetStream 4000 is a convenient desktop-sized version of the enormously popular JetStream 8500 and is ideal for use in branch offices. In addition to terminal and print server capabilities, JetStream products offer remote access server capabilities with integrated support of PPP and SLIP, as well as security functionality which includes RADIUS support.
   
Perle Lanstream 2000

The LanStream2000 is a combined serial server and LAN hub, running the XStream software suite. It is designed for use in environments that require the support of serial devices for transaction processing and/or data capture, together with Ethernet attached devices such as PCs or other equipment. Support for both types of device in one integrated product minimizes installation and maintenance costs and protects investment, as installations migrate to LAN connectivity. Two models, both with a total of 24 ports taking up 1.5U in a 19" rack, offer a choice of either 8 or 16 serial ports.
   
Perle Linkstream 2000

LinkStream 2000 offers a total integrated solution for connecting LAN, serial and Twinax-attached devices to a corporate network or the Internet. Cutting the cost of ownership and the need for multiple units, LinkStream 2000 connects these devices over a wide area network (WAN) using leased lines or Frame Relay or ISDN. A single, flexible base unit supports 2 high-speed WAN connections, 8 serial devices and an Ethernet LAN connection as standard. The unit can also be expanded to support up to 24 serial devices and or up to 14 Twinax devices. The same base unit will support Voice over IP (VoIP) connections, with a future expansion card.

The IOPRINT+ range of print servers provides seamless connection of printers to LANs with simultaneous support for today’s most popular operating systems. These print servers are feature rich products providing high performance and low cost printing solutions allowing users to take full advantage of network printing resources. IOPRINT+ and IOPRINT+FAST feature three high-speed bi-directional parallel ports with two high-speed bi-directional parallel ports and one serial (RS-232) port for the connection of printers as well as other serial devices, such as plotters. Ideal for mixed environments, IOPRINT+ maximizes printer performance by transmitting data at high speeds and supports up to eight logical printers.
